Arabian Home Remedies for Hair Loss
Arabs developed numerous herbal treatments for Hair Loss and have established well known remedies to cure baldness and gray hairs.

Henna and Black Cumin
Traditionally henna has been used from ancient times in Indian and Arabian regions to dye gray hairs, promote long hairs as well as to cure hair loss.
For the treatment of baldness, a paste is made by mixing equal amounts of black cumin powder and henna in vinegar. This is than rubbed on the bald areas and the procedure is repeated every third day till the required results is obtained.
Olive Oil Herbal Paste
Senna, henna and black cumin are the well known herbs in Arabian regions. These have been used for multiple medicinal purposes by Arabian physicians. For herbal treatment of hair loss and baldness following recipe is recommended;
- Black cumin seeds
- Henna
-
- Senna
- Garden Cress pepper weed
Equal quantities are taken and grinded finally to make fine powder which is than mixed with olive oil and heated on low flame for fifteen minutes. This mixture is than cooled, strained and preserved in a bottle. A regular use of this herbal hair oil not only improves hair growth but also promotes new hair to appear on bald areas. This is equally effective for eczema as well.
Antimony Sulphide (Arabic; Asmad)
This is a chemical and easily available in the market. Among the Arabs, the grind powder is used as eye freshener and used traditionally allover the Middle East and sub continental countries for cosmetic and medicinal purposes. This is also known to promote hair growth. It can be mixed in olive oil and massaged on the effected areas. A regular use is said to promote new hair growth on previously bald surfaces.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek is a well known herb/vegetable in both Asians and European countries and had been used widely for its health benefits since ages. For hair treatments it has been used in multiple ways.
Recipe # 1:
Its seeds are soaked in water for some 3 to 4 hours. The mixture is than grinded and used as a shampoo.
Recipe # 2;
An extract is obtained by boiling fenugreek seeds at low flame for some times. This is than cooled, strained and used to wash hairs to promote hair growth. When some gardencress pepperweed is also added, this extract is also helpful in getting rid of dandruff.

Myrrh
This is an old and well known Arabic weed. In the ancient times it was recognized as a precious and sacred article and valued like gold. It also has a long history of medicinal uses. Among the skin conditions, chronic itch, burns, body odor and hair loss are few problems that respond well to myrrh.
An Arabian home remedy for hair loss is to make a paste of myrrh is made with vinegar (or spirit) and applied on bald surface to promote hair growth.
Walnut and Olive oil
 | A well documented natural remedy for hair loss is to use walnut with olive oil. For this purpose, grind walnut kernels to make fine powder and store in a bottle at some cold place. Whenever required make a paste with olive oil and apply on the bald area. Rub gently and wait for sometimes before washing away. This is known to stimulate hair regrowth after continous use.
